I generally shop from Safeway or Raley's (Nob Hill)..Each store has their Loyalty program..Have you heard of Just For You coupons in Safeway? It is the best way to save a lot on your grocery bills..All it takes is 5 minutes of your busy schedule to sign up for these coupons online..All you have to do is just add the coupons  to your card and when you shop next time, you save a lot..Like today, I went to Safeway and bought Milk for $2.85 when it was priced at $4.29...I bought butter for $2.29, when it was priced at $3.29...People think Raley's is expensive, but not if you buy the right stuff at the right time i.e.when they are on sale...Buy meat on sale and freeze them...Raley's also have a program called Something extra, for which you just have to link your card with your email ID and Raley's will send you coupons and free stuff too in your email..Try it, it just takes few minutes to sign up...Enjoy

Everytime I go shopping to the mall, people are like, o my god !...mall....isn't it expensive? Why don't you go to T J Maxx, Marshall's ? etc..etc.....You have to be a smart shopper and try to use coupons whenever possible..If you use coupons, it doesn't make you small in front of your friends ( some people think that way), nor does it make a bad impression about you...I always use coupons whenever I go shopping, even at the mall...Macy's, people say is very expensive..wrong thinking..have you ever tried using coupons at Macy's? It saves you a lot..If you have a Macy's credit card, they keep sending coupons like $10 off $30 or $50 purchase and sometimes you may get extra % off for being a card holder..Just use the coupons wisely..Last time when I went to Macy's, I used a coupon 10 off 30 and my total came up to only 25 for about 5-6 items..i.e.each item were about $5.00 each...I buy branded stuff from Macy's at very cheap prices, when they have a sale..Buy, stuff when they are on sale for the next season/year..Buy one or two size up when buying for kids...Children's place/ Gymboree have Loyalty programs which helps you to earn points and then coupons..Just use the coupons when shopping..I have even bought stuff for $0.99 from Gymboree...Everyone says Gymboree is expensive, but if you shop smart, they are not expensive at all...

  shutki maach gorom jwole dhuye rakhtey hobe..Sgobji praye shob rokom e deoa jaye jemon begun/kumro/alu/beans/gajore/mulo..shob shobji ketey dhuye rakhtey hobe..ebar koratey tel diye maach bheje tuley rakhtey hobe..tel e ebar peyaaj kuchi o shobji diye bhajtey hobe..besh bhalo kore bhaaja holey, noon, holud, chini, lonkar guro o roshun diye abar nerey cherey olpo jwol diye maach ta diye fotatey hobe..shobji o maach bhalo kore shedhho hobe, ebong jwol komey besh maakha maakha ba bhaaja bhaaja holey namiye nitey hobe...

Easy Fruit Custard

1 box of Instant Vanilla Pudding Box
1 can Mixed Fruit

Follow the instruction on Vanilla Pudding box and make the pudding. Drain the juice from the canned fruit and keep it aside. When the pudding has been mixed and is thick enough, add the canned fruit and serve chilled .

You can always substitute canned fruits with fresh fruits.

Paurutir Dahi Vada(Bread Dahi Vada)

This recipe is from my MIL's recipe booklet that she specifically wrote for me to make it easier for me..I don't have a picture for this recipe...



Boil potatoes and add some chopped green chillies, chopped cilantro, roasted coriander powder,chopped onions and some bread slices soaked and drained of water. Mix all the above ingredients well. Heat some oil in the kadai..Make small balls with the mixed ingredients and fry them and keep them aside. Now take some yogurt and add some roasted red chillies, roasted jeera powder, salt and sugar and whisk it and keep it aside... Now put the vadas in a serving dish and pour the yogurt mixture on the vadas...Sprinkle with black salt and chopped cilantro and it is ready to serve...Enjoy...
